Warehouse Operatives communicate with a wide range of people and customers. They have a passion to meet customers’ expectations for providing a quality service that encourages repeat business.
The work activities may include taking deliveries; checking for damaged/missing items; storing goods; loading goods for dispatch; maintaining stock records and documentation. Warehouse Operatives are required to safely use a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles, as relevant to their role and setting.

By selecting specified units, Apprentices can also work towards achievement of the Warehouse and Storage Certificate and in doing so will gain additional knowledge and skills, whilst also covering elements of the Level 2 Apprenticeship standard.
including: barcoding, data capture radio and warehousing management software and systems
including: deliveries, dispatch, maintaining records, moving stock, packing and storing goods
including: mechanical racking systems and material handling equipment (MHE) such as reach trucks and pallet trucks
procedures and regulations within a warehouse environment – including safe driving and operating techniques and working safely at heights
with colleagues, customers, third party carriers and other organisations
By completing the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship, you will be developing a specific skill set and gaining the knowledge needed to succeed in the programme and job role.

Duration of Programme: 14 Months
Programme Value: £3,000 (funded by Levy or Government funding depending on company size)
Qualifications Gained: L2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative, L2 Certificate in Warehouse & Storage and L2 Functional Skills maths and English (unless exempt with recognised prior learning)
